The holidays are joyful times especially when we spend them with our loved ones, where we share old recipes, eat delicious meals and exchange gifts. However, the most vulnerable, especially the underprivileged children, are unable to get a meal or receive a gift. For most of these children the reality of the holidays can be an unpleasant reminder of the happiness, joy love and acceptance that’s missing in their lives. It is a time where distinct comparison is made between those who have and those who do not have. These children are often forgotten and neglected by the society in which they live.

To alleviate some of the uncomfortable feelings of not having, Sensee Foundation of Hope, with the help of our sponsors for the last 3 years, has tried to bring smiles to the community by providing the annual Christmas Celebration events. We are grateful for the support of the women in the community who volunteer to cook and serve the children with food, drinks, toys, and entertainment that are provided by the organization, for the children of Liberia.

This program has been very successful, and the organization will continue with the tradition. Our goal for each child, is to make them forget their poverty situation, be happy and know that they matter and are loved, on this special day of Christmas celebrations. 

We take this time to thank all of you who made it possible for the past years, with your contributions, support, and love. If you can do one thing for a child this season, it will make a difference. Remember, everything starts with you and me.
